University of South Florida (Est. 2015)
Tampa, FLPh.D. Applied Physics
Missouri University of Science and Technology (2009)
Rolla, MOBS Physics
Minor Computer Science
Teaching Experience
University of South Florida (2011 - current)
Tampa, FLUndergraduate Physics Lab TA
I run two or three undergraduate general physics lab courses in classical mechanics each semester. These courses are both calculus and non-calculus based.
NetTutor (2011)
Tampa, FLMath and Science Tutor
I was an online tutor for college level math and science.
Missouri S&T (2010)
Rolla, MOUndergraduate Physics Lab TA
I ran two calculus based undergraduate general physics lab courses in classical mechanics.
Research Experience
Laboratory for Cellular and Molecular Biophysics (2011 - current)
USF, Tampa, FLGraduate Student Research for Dissertation
In this lab I have worked with the Na+-K+-ATPase enzyme and synchronization modulation. Projects include voltage clamp studies, building a function generator and building a differential-isolated amplifier (EMG machine) to study muscle fatigue.
Optical Biophysics Lab (2010-2011)
USF, Tampa, FLGraduate Student Reasearch
I did fluorescence assasys to see if thioflavin-T can detect oligomer formation. My data was presented in a poster at the 2011 APS March meeting.
LAMOR (2009-2010)
Missouri S&T, Rolla, MOStudent Worker
I helped Doctor Schulz design components for a new beam line. Specifically, I wrote software to calculate the electric field lines of electrical equipment, and I used that the design a focusing system, and a beam filter.
REU Program (2009)
Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, OHREU student
I did an REU in the Physics department under Doctor Gao. My research was on the fabrication of suspended nanowire structures, and I was able to construct those devices.
Cloud and Aerosol Science Laboratory (2008-2009)
Missouri S&T, Rolla, MOStudent Worker
I designed and implemented software used to analyze hundreds of data files. I also worked on calibration of their equipment.
Undergraduate Research with Dr Vojta (2007-2008)
Missouri S&T, Rolla, MOStudent Worker
I did research on the spacial correlations of active sites in the two dimensional contact process. Our group published our results, and can be read at arXiv:0810.1569v2 .
Missouri S&T Solar Car Team (2007-2008)
Missouri S&T, Rolla, MOTeam Member
I programed the software for the motor controller, and some of the software to the RF Modem.
